About the studio

The true wild.

Verewild is an independent, one-person studio. The name joins the Latin vere, meaning “true,” with wild. It's a promise to make things that are honest in craft and unafraid in ambition, across whatever medium the idea needs.

One pair of hands

Everything here is designed, built, shipped, and maintained by a single developer. That's a constraint and a philosophy: small projects with a clear reason to exist, built end-to-end, with nothing outsourced that matters to how they feel.

What Verewild makes

The flagship is SIGABRT, a roguelike autobattler built in Godot where you fight by writing and rewriting a program. Alongside the games are working web apps like Daily Trivia Learning and Career Finder Helper, plus a steady stream of tools and experiments. Different surfaces, same approach: figure out the core, make it good, and put it in front of people.

How it's built

Games run on Godot with a strict, testable model/view split. The web apps are React and TypeScript on the front, Python and SQLite behind, self-hosted on a VPS behind Cloudflare. The whole stack is chosen to stay maintainable by one person for the long haul, with no moving parts that can't be understood in an afternoon.
